Ellen Spivak graduated from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California and worked as a nationally recognized brand strategist and graphic designer for years; analyzing and improving brand communications. Her responsiveness to clients helped create programs that addressed their unique concerns and fulfilled their vision. After working on a wide range of projects and winning numerous awards, Ellen was ready for a career change.

Her love of yoga led her to become an instructor in 2001. Teaching combines Ellen’s inherent strengths, and continues to challenge her in new ways. She is inspired to be always learning, as a yoga practitioner, and as a teacher. She truly loves teaching, and that love continues to deepen.

What Ellen offers as a yoga instructor is her strong passion, commitment and desire to impart knowledge clearly, and with inspiration. Her business background instilled in her a strong sense of professionalism, responsibility, thoroughness and attention to detail. In addition, coming from the corporate world gives her a unique perspective into the needs of those working in that world, and enables her to identify with students from all walks of life.

Ellen teaches on both east and west coasts, and internationally. Her clients include private clientele, corporate clients, yoga studios and health clubs. A partial client list includes Crunch, The Bay Club, New York Sports Club, Stanford University, The Athletic & Swim Club, Practice Yoga, New York Yoga, Saatchi & Saatchi, Orlick, Random House, Macy’s and Avon.
